Another thing to do in Singapore : Things to do Singapore! : We went shopping in little India Document ID : 12907 Latitdue : 1.306831 Longitude : 103.835220 Address : 93 Serangoon Rd, Singapore 217998 Details : Shortly after me and Carl left Little India station, we turned into this road populated with things all Indians must love.... Gold, Flowers and Buddha. There was this shop along this street which sold really unique carvings of the Buddha and other religious figurines. Instead of carving the faces outwards, the faces were carved inwards thereby creating this optical illusion that the eyes would follow you wherever you walked. It was super cool but not the first time I saw something like this. I ever came across something similar but it was in the temples of Burma and those statues I saw were very very old. So the things sold in this shop must have been an imitation of the ones I saw in that old Burmese temple.
